In the daily use of rock drill rig, various machine failures often occur, which requires the operator to understand the judgment of common failures and be able to eliminate them in time. The following Bianji summarizes the common faults and solutions of rock drills for everyone. The common faults and solutions of rock drill rig are here. Let's take a look!

rock drill

First. The impact of the rock drill rig is weak, that is, the piston can hit the shank adapter, but it feels that the strength is not as good as before
1. Is the flow and pressure insufficient? That is, whether the flow rate reaches 90L/min and whether the pressure reaches 10~16Mpa. Check the pressure and flow rate of the hydraulic system carefully, and adjust the relief valve or pressure reducing valve under the operating valve table. If it still cannot be adjusted, the system flow and pressure must be adjusted directly from the pump. If it still does not work, you must change a pump, because the oil distribution pan will wear out after the pump is used for a long time, which will affect the normal displacement of the pump.
 2. Whether the nitrogen in the accumulator of the rock drill still has a pressure of 6~7Mpa. Remove the accumulator from the rock drill and insert a welding rod or other thin and blunt object into the small hole on the back of the accumulator to check if there is still nitrogen. If you can plug it in and prove that there is no nitrogen, you need to disassemble the accumulator to check whether the diaphragm or sealing ring is damaged? If the diaphragm sealing ring is broken, replace it with a new diaphragm or fill the sealing ring with nitrogen 6~7Mpa. Our company now sells seal rings for Atlas and Montebel rock drill accessories.

rock drilling3. Are the mechanical connections on the rock drill reliable? Use a wrench to tighten all threaded connections, such as water jacket nuts, four high-strength bolts connecting the drilled part and the impact part.
4. The rock drill has been used for too long, and the gap between the piston and the front and rear cylinder sleeves becomes larger due to wear, which causes the internal leakage of the impact part to be too large, and the impact pressure cannot rise. Replace the piston and front and rear cylinder liners.
Second. There is no impact sound from the rock drill rig
1. The piston can move but the shank adapter cannot be hit. The reason may be that the extension of the piston stroke caused by the unreliable mechanical connection part on the rock drill rig is beyond the normal movement stroke of the piston, and the piston cannot be drilled. Use a wrench to tighten all threaded connections, such as water jacket nuts, four high-strength bolts connecting the drilled part and the impact part. Our company now sells nuts and shank guides for Atlas and Montebel rock drills.
2. The piston cannot move. The reason may be that the reversing valve cannot be reversed or the piston and cylinder liner are strained and burned and cannot move. Disassemble the accumulator, and use a clean middle finger or index finger to hook the spool of the reversing valve to see if the spool of the reversing valve can move back and forth easily. If not, remove the reversing valve and replace it with a new set of reversing valve. Grind it until it can move easily and then install it. If there is no problem with the reversing valve, the front and rear cylinder liners and pistons need to be punched out, and check whether the pistons and front and rear cylinder liners are strained?
Third. The connection between the drilling part and the impact part or the rear part of the impact part drips or sprays oil.
1. The possible cause is caused by the wear of the sealing rings of the front and rear plugging rings. It is sufficient to replace the front and rear blocking rings as a whole or the sealing rings of the front and rear blocking rings. After replacement, the plugging ring can be replaced by disassembling the back end cover. The front plugging ring needs to be disconnected from the drilled part and the impact part, and the piston can be gently hit forward.
